Three Film Tours Hit NYC This Week

This week is a whirlwind of stoke as three national film tours have their New York City premieres within the next four days. Mark your calendars: Tonight is the Adventure Film Festival (proceeds go to the Sierra Club's Inner City Outings), tomorrow is Almost Ablaze by Teton Gravity Research, and Saturday night is No Turning Back by Warren Miller.

Here's a quick overview of what to expect at each show:

Tonight (11/12): Adventure Film Festival

Sierra Club's ICO (a completely volunteer led organization) set this show up to raise money for their amazing programs bringing inner-city youth outdoors. Hosted in Soho's famous Sunshine Cinemas, the night will be a collection of environmentally focused films meant to "inspire and fire the creative kilns of transformation and awareness." Plus, Whole Foods is providing snacks.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $22 at the door and can be purchased here. 

 

TOMORROW NIGHT (11/13): Almost Ablaze

Teton Gravity Research is back in the city after their screening last month of Jeremy Jones' Higher. Tomorrow night head to Webster Hall to see their 2014 feature shot at some of the classic ski resorts of North America and Europe. Known for their beautiful cinematography and use of technology (including drones) this promises to be a great show.

Saturday Night (11/15): No Turning Back

Warren Miller ski movies need no introduction. They've been a staple of the industry (and our ski seasons) for as long as we can remember. Start the season off right: with lots of stoke plus a ton of awesome lift ticket giveaways for all attendees.
