In this 2 hours lesson under the spectacular views of downtown Manhattan you will learn the basic terminology and principles on how to sail a 30' sailboat.

The class will be conducted by a sailing instructor and will include only 4 participants - to enhance your learning experience and make you want to learn more....

Sessions: 

11:00AM -1:00PM Session (arrive by 10:45)

5:00PM - 7:00PM Session (arrive by 4:45)

DETAILS:

-Arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled lesson.

-Meeting location: Pier 25, 225 N Moore St. New York, NY 10013. Walk on the Pier with the water to your left (on the south side of the pier) towards the big GOLF sign. Our instructor will be meeting you there and take you to the boat.

-What to bring/wear: Personal bottle of water, comfortable clothing, shoes with a rubber shoe (no flip flops, no black soles, windbreaker, sailing gloves, sun screen, hat

-If you think you'll need to take non-drowsy Dramamine - make sure to take a pill 30 minutes before the sail

- Weather call: Will be made the day of the sail. In case the sail is canceled you will receive both an email as well as a phone call about 2.5 hours before the lesson. If unsure or you have any other questions call Sailors NYC at 1.800.777.6492

Sailors NYC is a sailors club and an affiliated ASA (American Sailing Association) school. The club offers activities for both members and non-members, sailing lessons and courses and private charters out of two bases on both sides of the Hudson - Pier 25 in TriBeCa, NYC and Liberty Harbor Marina in Jersey City.
